Cabling
NetWave uses ethernet installation cable with twisted-pair solid wires, particularly suitable for permanent installation outside the control cabinet / switch box. It has been specifically developed for Category 5 industrial Ethernet applications (up to 100 Mbps) and features a very robust second outer sheath made from polyurethane (PUR). With an outside diameter of 7.8 mm (0.307 in.), the cable has a high level of mechanical capability and is ideal for leading through standard threaded joints.
Once within the NetWave VDR units, the outer sheath is easily removed using a tearing wire, leaving a secondary—inner—isolation layer. The braided shielding is fixed to the cable-glands of the cabinets. Instructions are accompanying the cable. Flame-retardant in accordance with VDE 0482, Part 265-2-1 / IEC 332-1. Free of substances, which would hinder coating with paint or varnish in accordance with the central standard 57 650. Halogen-free compound, HM 2 in accordance with VDE 0207.
