The Netwave VDR can be installed on your vessel partly or in total by our trained engineers
Lump sum
If you do not want to worry about anything, Netwave is able to deliver, install and commission the SVDR or VDR on board of your vessel for a fixed fee all over the world. With our worldwide service network, we cover more then 100 ports in over 50 countries, where local engineers are trained to install and service our systems. Partly Installation
The Netwave SVDR and VDR is the easiest to install black box in the world. We were able to deliver such as system based on the experience of the first installation on cruise vessels and ferries in the late nineties. Because of the ease of installation, we can allow the crew to do the cable-work, the microphones and the mounting brackets prior to final installation, saving you cost on the installation as well!
For this, we can send the Pre-Installation Package in advance to your vessel for the crew to start working already.
Timing
Since the installation time of the Netwave SVDR is so short (les then 40 hours, including all cabling!) the best time of installation is during the sea voyages or in harbour. Most VDR’s can only be installed during dry dock, which could cause delays in commissioning the SVDR to the Class Surveyor, who would like to see the Radar and Speedlog, but these instruments are switched off during dry dock, which means you have to wait until sea-trials.
