However, Hovercrafts cannot climb steep hills or move above extremely rugged surfaces. They cannot travel on surfaces that have long sharp objects, which can damage their hull or skirt. Furthermore, the air-based steering structure of a hovercraft makes it quite difficult to maneuver in very limited spaces. Which means areas that are difficult to drive along a confined roadway.
